Quebec Government Fends off Conflict-of-interest Allegations
In March, Premier Jean Charest changed disclosure requirements for members of his cabinet to allow a company owned by one of his ministers to do business with the government. The changes were said to accommodate International Affairs Minister Pierre Arcand, who has shares in a Montreal advertising company.
